BK Shivani has practiced Rajyoga meditation with Brahma Kumaris for over 25 years. Her practical application of spiritual principles on the TV program "Awakening with Brahma Kumaris" has helped people overcome emotional problems, depression, and relationship conflicts for over 15 years. In March 2019, she received the prestigious Nari Shakti Puraskar Award – the highest civilian honor for women in India – for her role in transforming human behavior. Since 2017, she has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the World Psychiatric Association. She is an electrical engineer and graduated from the University of Pune.
